The wedding of Emma Manley and Eoin O Suilleabhain at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham was a real fusion of their home counties of Dublin and Cork. The couple sourced their food and drink from their native provinces and even their music had a local touch.
Emma designed both her own and her bridemaid’s dresses – it does help that she runs her own fashion label in Manley Fashion. Her stunning dress contained intricate detailing of 16,000 beads and 12,000 Swarovski crystals inspired by the flight pattern of bees. Emma had two headpieces for the day, both from LK Millinery – one for daytime and a lighter version for the evening more suited to dancing.
There was a strong gaelgoir influence on the day with menus and readings in both Irish and English. Music during the ceremony was by Cór Cúil Aodha of which Eoin and his family and members of – the groom’s father sang the bridal procession which was a very moving experience.
So, some very original styling, lots of personal touches, stunning sunshine and there very own gin bar – what’s not to like about this day?
Here’s how we saw the day unfold….
The Royal Hospital Kilmainham
I love the Royal Hospital Kilmainham for photography because of its sense of history. It makes a fantastic wedding venue with its great banquet hall, beautiful oak rooms and amazing gardens. If you’re having a wedding there I’d love to hear from you 🙂
